My website, "Savards of Michigan", is the result of the unlikely meeting of a
man born in Quebec, Canada, who was raised in Manchester, N.H., and a divorced
woman with four children who was living in her home town of Martin, Tennessee.

They married and moved to Detroit, Michigan about 1930, to make a new life.

My brother John and I were born there, to make a total of 6 children.

Because of the situation, neither John or I ever knew our ancestors from Quebec,
Manchester or Tennessee.

This website is kind of a journey into the past for me, to try and sort out some
of the names I've heard, but never put into perspective.

It's also for my/our children, who I hope will benefit from and perhaps
contribute to the effort.
